A few months back I had a welding accident. I was using my mig welder and had a hot piece of slag burn through my glove at my ring finger. I was wearing a wedding band I had made of Titanium.
The hot slage welded it's self to the ring. I could not get the ring off and got a narley burn.
The lesson learned?
Wear really good gloves and have a bucket of water handy.
These three photos tell the story:)
EXACT same thing happened to me in'96. Have not worn jewelry to work ever since.
